Working at a site

Organisation relationship

Prior to working with an organisation Mindfull Support establish a relationship and provide the organisation with our polices around restraint.

The organisation will share with us information on the following:

If they want us to do medications or not
If we are approved to provide transport
How they want notes done - our notes system or theirs

This information is provided in the notes section on your confirmed shift on connecteam.

Site Induction

Each site is asked to provide you with an orientation, we provide them with this sheet as a helpful prompt, see the below PDF.

If induction is not provided

Sometimes you may be given induction by someone who doesn't normally do it, which can mean they can accidentally miss passing on information. Make the process easier for them and ask the below questions if not provided

Site Safety

Often a site will have a hazard register you need to view, we also need you to complete our site safety check. If you report any noted hazards we will discuss controls directly with the site.

Concerns and organisation Politics

If you have any concerns about the support that is provided or not provided please report it on our reporting form. We are there to support those needing our help and ensure they get the care and support they deserve.

Often when we are engaged in working with a site it is because they are short staffed, often this means things arent running smoothly and their team may be unhappy. Please remember you don't need to get involved in their politics, you are there to do a job and support those who need it.
